Center for an Agricultural Economy
Information
The Vermont Food Venture Center (VFVC), a program of the Center for an Agricultural Economy, is a hub of food processing and innovation. Food businesses can rent commercial kitchens to test new products or equipment, scale up production, and add products to their lineup. Founded in 2011, The Venture Center provides the space and resources that allow businesses to grow.
Founded in 2004, the Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE) is a nonprofit based in Hardwick, Vermont. We support rural communities and working landscapes by building a more interconnected local food system. CAE’s food justice and place-based education programming is rooted in our local Northern Vermont community, while our food hub enterprises and revolving loan fund operate statewide. Each year CAE’s programs impact over 500 farms, food businesses, local businesses, and institutions, as well as thousands of community members.
