Sweet Grass Dairy
Information
At Sweet Grass Dairy, cheese isn’t just our livelihood—it’s a way of life, rooted in family, tradition, and a love for the land.
Co-owner Jessica Little grew up among the rolling pastures of her family’s fourth-generation, 350-acre dairy farm, where hard work and hospitality were just part of everyday life. In 2000, her mother, Desiree, took a bold step—launching one of the first cheese-making operations in the Southeast. Inspired by her parents’ passion, Jessica and her husband, Jeremy, returned home to Thomasville, Georgia, in 2002 to help grow the creamery.
In those early days, Jeremy discovered that old-world cheese-making was a natural fit for his culinary background, while Jessica’s knack for business gave her the perfect way to carry on her family’s legacy. Together, they built Sweet Grass Dairy into what it is today—a Southern creamery that is enjoyed at tables across the country.
Their award-winning cheeses prove that the South belongs in every cheese case and on every cheese board, showcasing the best of American artisan dairy. And at the heart of it all is a simple mission: to share the warmth and hospitality of the American South through cheeses that celebrate the rich flavors and unique landscape of South Georgia.
