Pesto Genovese

BIS Pesto Genovese is unique because it is frozen—and frozen in 2 oz pucks—but that's not the only reason. It's also made with authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano D.O.P. cheese and 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil. As in the classic recipe from Genoa, we only use pine nuts, not almonds or cashews or walnuts, and we never add any preservatives or sugars. Since our pesto goes straight from the kitchen to the freezer, it is completely fresh, raw, and unpasteurized, so the flavor and aroma are locked in. The result is a taste that stands out from the many jarred pestos lining the aisle. Our frozen pucks also allow consumers to cater to different tastes and diets at home but also incorporate our pesto into their other recipes—all the while preventing food waste and saving money.
