Sauder’s Eggs Donates 72,000 Eggs to Philabundance to Support Families Facing Food Insecurity Lititz, PA (March 27, 2026) — Sauder’s Eggs, a family-owned Pennsylvania company and leading supplier of farm-fresh eggs across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Midwest, proudly donated 72,000 eggs to Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization, as part of the nationwide Great American Egg Drive, one of the largest egg donation efforts in the country. This significant contribution is equal to approximately 6,000 dozen eggs and will provide fresh, nutritious, high-quality protein to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, including right here in Lancaster, and in Southern New Jersey. The eggs will be distributed through Philabundance’s network of community partners, including food pantries, meal programs, and shelters. “We take pride not only in producing food, but also in giving back,” said Mark Sauder, President & CEO of Sauder’s Eggs. “Being part of an effort that brings egg farmers together to support communities across the country means a great deal to us, especially here in Pennsylvania, where we live and work.” The donation is part of the American Egg Board’s Great American Egg Drive, which brings egg farmers together nationwide to give back to their communities across the county, including here in Pennsylvania. This year’s effort is further strengthened through a partnership with HATCH for Hunger, a nonprofit organization that connects farms directly with food banks to deliver fresh protein where it is needed most. Eggs remain one of the most requested items at food banks due to their nutritional value and versatility, making them an accessible and impactful food source for families.
